Baby Clothes So Cool, I’m Thinking About Reproducing

Baby needs a new pair of shoes. No seriously, baby needs a new pair of shoes. Check these out.

Not interested in shoe shopping? No problem.

Here’s what I want you to remember … I love sillysouls.com, I like the unexpected slogans that state the facts. Calling your baby a boob man is as old as time, putting those words on baby clothes is fresh and fun.

How long did it take you to realize that your adorable little baby was a fart factory? Tell the world!

Your kids aren’t going to stay baby-sized forever. Have some fun picking out their clothes because before you know it you’ll be forced to look at your teens wearing their own brand of inappropriate slogans.

With categories like urban cool, breast feeding spoof, potty humor, and more you can have fun dressing your child and collecting an entire scrapbook of amazing photographs you will want to share with your baby’s friends at a later point in time.

Here’s what Silly Souls would like you to remember: SILLY SOULS TO OPEN FIRST BRICK & MORTAR LOCATION AT LIMELIGHT MARKETPLACE IN MANHATTAN. New York, NY (January 4, 2010) – Silly Souls, maker of sassy and fun baby apparel and accessories, is set to host their first store front location in New York City’s Limelight Marketplace – a premier shopping destination in the heart of Manhattan’s Flatiron district, opening in March 2010.

Silly Souls by babygags inc. features captivating catchphrases on its apparel, silly enough to conjure a smile and make shopping for baby apparel and shoes fun for everyone.  The Silly Souls product line includes cotton layette gift sets for kids 0-6 years old, big brother and sister gifts, hats, bibs, bottles, dish sets, birth announcements, socks, an organic selection of bibs and bodysuits, and funny fabulous baby shoes.

“At Silly Souls, we believe the little things in life, like a silly joke on the cutest gift, can bring out a smile and youthful side to any soul,” said Shelley Foster, founder of Silly Souls.  “The Limelight Marketplace is a hip, new and modern endeavor, which is a great reflection of our company. We look forward to expanding Silly Souls in such a unique and fun atmosphere.”

Silly Souls will be among 60 retailers opening brick-and-mortar locations at Limelight Marketplace, the brainchild of fashion retailer Jack Menashe, who is transforming an historic 163-year-old venue into a three-story “festival of shops,” with elaborate facades and varied designs that invoke the feeling of a stroll down a marvelous European street. Limelight Marketplace welcomes innovative retailers and entrepreneurs, providing a unique “turn-key” solution for start-ups and established brands looking for a presence in the New York City retail market.

“We are thrilled to welcome Silly Souls to our growing list of retailers, and are so pleased that our business plan has allowed them to open their first brick and mortar store.” said President Jack Menashe. “With the inclusion of Silly Souls, New York City parents will soon discover an amazing resource for the whole family at Limelight Marketplace.”

Reese Witherspoon’s In Bloom Fragrance For Avon

November 24, 2009 by admin
Filed under Holiday Gift Guide, featured, living with me, review

I’ve got two fragrances that I have been wearing for years. One I wear during the summer and one I wear during the winter. I’m picky about perfumes.

I don’t like anything that smells sweet, I’ve sniffed some that are reminiscent of cotton candy.

I don’t like anything from the musk family, at least not on me.

I don’t want to smell all fruity-tootie. A hint of lemon zest, perhaps. An entire strawberry or watermelon, no.

I was recently given an opportunity to review In Bloom. Described as a sweet southern scent, created by Reese exclusively for Avon, combining delicate femininity with seductive allure and mysterious beauty.

To me, it smelled clean. Fresh and crisp. A fragrance without a winter or summer season, a fragrance I could wear all year round. A scent that wasn’t too heady for everyday yet special enough to wear evenings. It takes a tremendously fantastic fragrance for me to even want to discuss the technical side of a perfume, but I’m going to do it today! These are the details provided:

The Scent: This fragrance sparkles with a provocative blend of notes, including:

Top Notes: Georgia Peach Tea Leaves, Crisp Greens

Heart Notes: Star Gardenia, Magical Magnolia, Night Blossoming Jasmine

Base Notes: Cashmere Woods, Hypnotic Florals, Amber Wood Crystals

I’ve never understood “perfume talk” but whatever Robertet’s Olivia Jan put together for Reese Witherspoon while creating In Bloom works perfect for me.

Would I give this fragrance for Christmas? Yes!

Radio City Christmas Spectacular Give Away

Radio City Rockettes. Three words, huge memories.

The earliest I can recall thoughts of becoming a Rockette  involve a tri-fold mirror located on the first floor of our city’s H.C. Prange Co. As soon as I set foot in front of that gorgeous mirror I started a high-stepping chorus line which involved the three of me doing my best interpretation of The Rockettes’ precision dance kicks.

This holiday season, Madison Square Garden Entertainment is giving each one of us an opportunity to bring the Rockettes home with us for the holidays by presenting us with with a colorful and breath-taking pop up book.

My dear readers, when this package arrived on my doorstep my hands shook. When I opened the package, my heart stopped and the little girl in me came rushing back when I opened the fabulous pop up book. The vibrant colors,  the engaging pictures, the intrict cut outs and pop ups were all brilliantly prepared by Brushfire, LTD.

After devouring the book all by myself, I shared it with my six and eight year old children. I didn’t want to zoom in too close to the pop ups, I’m encouraging you to add this to your holiday shopping list so you can be as excited to see the pop ups, too!

But wait, there’s more! Hidden inside the pop up book is a 32-page hardcover storybook of the show. Yup, two books.

If you are lucky enough to be in near Radio City Music Hall, be sure to visit the Rockettes. Tell them I said hi. Don’t tell them about me and the tri-fold mirror. I’m still trying to move past that one.

And if you are interested in purchasing this incredible First-Ever Pop-Up Book of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, I recommend you head immediately to the Radio City Music Hall Official Shop* and order your book today. I guarantee that sharing this book during the holiday season will become a famliy tradition. The price of the book is $35 (which just happens to be the amount you need to spend at the Radio City Music Hall Official Shop that will entitle you to a free reusable solider shopping  bag).

While exploring the RadioCityChristmas.com website, I also found these super sweet coloring sheets.  My kids are busy working on those right now.

I’ve reviewed the pop-up book and the hardcover book. I’ll admit the quality is phenomal, the craftmanship beyond compare, the price of $35 is quite reasonable when you consider you purchasing a book that is about to become a cherished holiday tradition within your family.

Now I am giving you the opportunity to win this pair of books for yourself.

Lime Zest Parka, Completely Appealing

Whether you are propped on the edge
of an ancient Black Locust,

Checking for fan mail,
Swinging in the wind at dusk,

Leaning against an old weathered tree or

Laughing while leaning against an old weathered tree

Girls’ Sport Squall Parka from Lands’ End
will keep you warm and cozy.

My favorite feature? The reflective strip that not only circles the outside of the jacket, it circles the inside of the jacket as well.

Why? Because kids don’t always keep their jackets closed and when they are walking in the dark and their coat is flopping open, the reflective strip is ready, willing, and able to pick up (and reflect) car lights! Just check out how well this reflective strip picked up my camera flash!

Now Lands’ End doesn’t brag about lining the inside of the coat with reflective strip but I sure feel better knowing it is there!

Here’s the fine print about the product and here’s a direct link so you can easily check out the color options.

* TEMPERATURE RATING: -10°/35° Fahrenheit
* Windproof, 3-ply nylon shell, with DriOff™ finish
* Toasty 300-weight fleece lining
* Adjustable cuffs lock out the elements
* 360° reflective trim for better visibility
* Cargo pockets outside, MP3 player pocket with cord port inside
* Waist cinches with an interior bungee (except in toddler)
* Attached hood won’t get lost
* Parka length hits below the hip for more coverage

Sport Squall® Parka: all the protection of Classic Squall Parka in an updated style for today’s girls. It’s windproof nylon shell with DriOff™ finish sheds the wet stuff, plus it has a warm fleece lining that isn’t too bulky. Sleeves are insulated for more warmth, and lined with nylon to make dressing easier. Kids also get a fleece-lined hood, adjustable cuffs to stop snow from getting inside, and reflective trim for better visibility. Girl’s version is more fitted in the waist for a feminine look. 100% nylon shell. 100% polyester fleece lining. Machine wash. Imported.

Dear Lands’ End,

Thank you for once again going above and beyond the line of duty with great products for my kids. I’ve always expected quality and I know you’ve got my checkbook in mind when you are pricing your items, but to know you are as obsessed with their safety as me? Well, thank you for that unexpected surprise.

Sincerely,
Photobucket
